UPPER ARM LIFT (Brachioplasty)
With
age, upper arm skin can become loose and flabby.
Excessive fat deposits may also make them unattractive.
An arm lift, also known as brachioplasty, is
a surgical procedure to remove loose skin and
excess fat deposits in the upper arm. In many
cases liposuction alone followed by use of a
compression sleeve for a few weeks may be sufficient
treatment. Brachioplasty in conjunction with
liposuction can provide best results in patients
with moderate to severe redundancy and flabbiness
of skin. |

A Y-shaped incision is made on the inner aspect
of upper arm extending from axilla to several cm above
elbow. After removal of excessive skin and fat, wounds
are closed. If required liposuction of the remaining
areas is also performed. A linear scar is to be expected
on the inner side of arm.
THIGH LIFT
Shapely legs are a
distinctive feature of health, vitality and beauty.
Sometimes no matter how many miles you walk or how many
salads you eat, you just can't get rid of those pockets
of unsightly fat. Gravity and aging are other factors
that contribute to loss of shape and contour. For others
who have lost a significant amount of weight, the skin
can sag, ripple and fold in ways that cannot be remedied
except with surgery.
A thigh lift removes
excess fat, tightens the skin and re-contours the upper
leg usually with concealable scars. Thigh lifts can
be combined with other procedures like a tummy tuck,
arm lift, and breast surgery. Many thigh lifts are performed
on the inner thigh, but thigh lifts can also be performed
on the outer thigh or included with a buttock lift.
In a majority of cases the procedure is also combined
with liposuction of excessive fatty deposits along with
thigh lift procedure.
